According to one eye witness, the incident all started when the host community cattle started grazing in the gardens that belonged to the refugees destroying all the crops. On that fortifull day one farmer had taken his cattle to graze in one of the garden and the dinkas got angry and waited for the owner to come back to take the catlle, on arrival the dinkas demanded compensation but the man got violent hence leading to the clashes. According to him more than 8 people died instantly and there are 4 others people are missing in the settlement.

Police in Madi Okollo have arrested 13 suspects for murdering six people on friday in Tika Refugee camp.
It’s alleged that on the 11/09/2020 at about 17:30 hours, one Ajute Rahman Yassin was looking after cattle near the resettlement camp and that he was assaulted by refugee youths and had died.
